RONALD CASTEEL - Expert Associate

Mr. Casteel served in law enforcement for 32 years.  Mr. Casteel spent the last 16 years of his career as the supervisor of the Detective Bureau for the Sparta Township Police Department retiring as a Detective Sergeant.  Mr. Casteel is a certified police firearms instructor, an active shooter instructor and a certified crime scene investigator.

​Upon his retirement in 2009, Mr. Casteel was selected for a position as a contractor with the Department of Defense, Military Professional Resources.  Mr. Casteel was deployed to the Kandahar Province, Afghanistan, embedded with the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division.  While deployed, Mr. Casteel advised Afghan National Police Units in various Areas of Operations.  Since completing that assignment, Mr. Casteel has worked as a firearms instructor at RTSP in Randolph NJ.  As a senior instructor Mr. Casteel teaches courses in Basic and Advanced Pistol techniques as well as Home Defense, Situational Awareness and Responsible Gun Ownership.
