Daniel Anselment - Expert Associate

Daniel Anselment is a law enforcement officer, crime scene evidence officer and former Medicolegal death investigator from Minnesota.  Dan brings with him to the team about 20 years of experience in areas of practice which include: general forensics, forensic photography, latent prints, bloodstain pattern analysis, shooting scene reconstruction, complex death investigations and advanced concepts in forensic medicine.

Dan was responsible for the oversight and execution of the University of Tennessee's famed National Forensic Academy, which is a 10-week forensic training program for law enforcement and forensic professionals.  While with the forensic academy, Dan consulted on cases from around the nation assisting law enforcement agencies with questions and resources needed in their case investigations.  Dan continues to assist law enforcement professionals in review of death cases and forensic related assistance as needed and remains a "go-to" contact for agencies that need forensic related resources or guidance. 

 

Dan currently manages the HERO Public Safety Training Center in Minnesota, further providing assistance and training to law enforcement professionals in the midwest region of the U.S.  Dan is an active instructor with the UT National Forensic Academy, UT National Forensic Academy Collegiate Program and Rasmussen University's criminal justice programming. 

 

Dan's knowledge of forensic programming, training and forensic operations further strengthens Highlands Forensics Crime Scene Unit Assessment program.

Dan is a member of the International Association of Bloodstain Pattern Analyst, International Association for Identification (IAI), Association for Crime Scene Reconstruction and past President of the MN Division of the IAI.
